Okay, so Gundam Seed was a total ripoff of the original plus 2000’s character design, animation, and general sensibility. It still had its moments and I still have the originals (on VHS, not Blu Ray).
As far as WAH’s comments on Noah Bright, I just don’t think that kind of character works any more. An officer slapping a child would not be an officer for long; he would get fragged. Heck, Patton only got away with it because of his battlefield successes and the general mood of the population during WWII.
