Just a note, but if you’ve passed on watching Potemayo due to its appearance… well, you might be missing out. It’s been awhile since a show had me laughing so hard I could cry. Again and again. I think I’ve watched the above scene a hundred times by now.
It also has Kawasumi Ayako doing her schoolgirl voice. I really, really like it when Kawasumi Ayako does her schoolgirl voice. A lot.
I think the second episode has solidified my like for this anime. How can you not like running pee and cannibalism jokes!?
Gave it a try too. One of my favourites this season. Dear god, Ayako Kawasumi is win!
And Potemayo is cuteness overload. Guchuko as well.
Zetsubou Sensei is better. Know how I know? BECAUSE I DO.
Zetsubou Sensei is indeed a good show. Apples and oranges, though.
Potemayo is Kanazawa Hana, or was it Hanazawa Kana, who voiced the adorable Kaminagi Ryou ko in Zegapain… She has this really cute voice. Great show anyway.
I don’t see how anyone can resist the little purple one with the battle axe and the laser beams. (And the duct tape.) They say it’s a scythe, but as far as I’m concerned that thing is a battle axe.
I can resist.
It’s a funny show though. Just not in the mood for it.
I passed on it because of the lack of subs.

I’m loving Potemayo as well. It’s *much* cuter (but less WTF) than Puguyu.

Very odd show, but in a good way. This is also probably the first show that my nearly 2 yr old son has any interest in. Any time Potemayo is on the screen he points and laughs.
Oh, and there’s .mkv files out there for those who don’t do raw + sub files. I certainly prefer

…the part that always cracks me up is the “A Young Virgin’s Dreams” piano theme that starts up about 3 seconds into each of Mikan’s fantasies…aaaah, youth!
