I’ve given in to temptation and caught up with Simoun, and can confidently say it’s now my favorite show of the year. Given how good a year this has been, that’s saying something.

If you’ve been waiting on the Simoun-Fans releases and feel like pushing forward, you can grab subtitle scripts here. Good luck finding raws, though. A friend was kind of enough to hook me up, for which I’m eternally grateful.

To avoid spoilers, I’ll abstain from saying anything else… except, “Tempus Spatium just wants to rock, man!”

I’ll get watching more of it someday… but the hype is really getting to me from all of you heathens. Maybe when I have the time and I feel like tracking down the raws.

To get the raws, just go to Tokyo Toshokan and search for Simoun. ;)

Whether or not there are seeds, however, is another matter. I remember trying to get Episode 20 a mere week after it aired, and it was already seedless.

Y’know, Jeff, your posts are proving to be a double-edged sword for me. On one hand, I’d like to desperately grab everything available to watch, but on the other hand, I’m thinking that the suspense would probably kill me when I reach the latest episodes, forcing me to hold back till it’s ended and all subs are available.

I really couldn’t possible understand this show with all it’s jargons without subs… ORZ.

Let the suspense kill you! It’s so much fun!

As a side note on raw availability, would anyone be interested to see torrents of some of the Simoun episodes in HD?

I am really glad you’ve been raving about this show. I loved the first episode but my boyfriend, much like you, didn’t really care for it right away. I think I may be able to convince him to give it another try thanks to you Jeff.

This show is probably the most overlooked thing of year in terms of quality/general appeal, so I’m really glad it’s seeing some recitification to that in it finally gaining a bit more viewers through slowly creeping word of mouth.
With the show being in such high gear as of late though, it’s hard for fans to not keep quiet about it, so I guess it kind of comes naturally :p.

I guess the delay’s also sort of a good thing, since there’s now a good batch of fansubs out there, as well as freely downloadable scripts all the way up to the most recent episode - unless there’s fansubs to go around, it’s hard to go “dude, you should so watch this shit, it is the bomb” when the thing won’t really be accessible at all to the majority of people.

The bait-and-switch coupled with the early lack of fansubs seriously did an excellent job of killing the potential viewing audience at the start :/.

That’s slowly turning around, so yay, Wonderful o/

And yes, don’t hold back. Just gogo get what’s out there, it’s good for you~
