Good News: Viz confirms Full Moon wo Sagashite license, plans June 2006 release for first volume.
Bad News: Quarterly release expected, meaning final volume won’t hit store shelves until Summer 2009. Planned failure? All I know is that I’ll be 31 years old by then. Hopefully, I’ll still have all my hair.
Good News: Mitsuki doesn’t die.
More Good News: Kimi ga Nozomu Eien licensed by Funimation. Monthly release of three volumes expected, beginning October 2006. In other words, the entire show should be out before the end of the year.
Sort of Bad, but No Big Deal, Really, News: Name changed to “Rumbling Hearts”.
REALLY Bad News: Mitsuki doesn’t die.

Its interesting that they’re gonna name FMWS as Rumbling Hearts, considering the manga is going by the name of Full Moon. Plus, Rumbling Hearts has nothing to do with the plot, unlike Searching for the Full Moon… bleh
Err, or ignore my comment, considering ANN says its KimiNozo is Rumbling Hearts.
“Quick! We have to find a way to make people avoid this new release like the plague, thus utterly failing to justify picking up the license in the first place. I know! Let’s give it a bland, lifeless renaming! We’re brilliant!”
Rumbling Hearts indeed.
Urgh. I didn’t like the anime after the first few eps, though it does improve at the end… and now they make it sound even more like a soap opera than it ever was.
Great way to push the anime, huh?
Where do these people get their names? “Rumbling Hearts”? The heck?
Man 2009? that sucks! Good thing i’ve already seen it subbed. BTW way to spoil it Jeff :P
I’ll buy it anyway ;) … at least the first DVD, to see what they have done.
Am I the only one who wonders if any English-speaking voice actors can believably pull of THIS show?
For those who wondered why they put it “Rumbling Hearts” instead for KimiNozo, here’s a biggie.
It’s the English name the Japanese put on KimiNozo.
BTW, I’m kind of happy the show was aired on free-to-air TV here (though they cut the guy x Mitsuki scene T-T…).
Hmm, Funimation. It will probably take same 3 years before their dvds arrive to my country and i can buy both shows same time.

Yes, because there are plenty of dub VA’s who are perfectly capable of delivering just as good, if not a better performance than the Japanese did.
Wasn’t rumbling hearts the theme song for the hgame Kiminozo was based on? It was also the ending of episode 2 (right after the incident) and the song of the KGNE trailer
That’s correct, Eric. So, it’s not like they yanked the name out of a hat. It’ll just be a bit strange, I think, to have fans referring to the show by two vastly different names. I’ll adopt a show’s English title when convenient, but I doubt I’ll ever refer to Kiminozo by anything but its original name/nicknames. It’s not because I take issue with the name change, though. Nothing of the sort.
“REALLY Bad News: Mitsuki doesn’t die.”
Hahaha… I just had to quote that.
Like Jeff, I’ll probably never refer to it other than it’s original name or nicknames, but I think the English title fits. Their hearts are ah-rumblin’.
I guess just translating the Japanese title was too long and perhaps too Engrishy?

Too bad no American anime companies are willing to shell out for them, always opting for the budget basement special VAs instead.

Out of respect to Jeff I won’t respond the way I want to to that, I’ll just say that you have no idea what you are talking about.
Yes, there are bad dubs, but there are also A LOT of great ones, and Funi has produced some of the best.
Kiddy Grade, Fruits Basket, Gunslinger Girl, Kodocha, Full Metal Alchemist, just to name a few.
I have absolutely no worries about the dub for Kiminozo, maybe people should wait till they hear it before automatically deciding its going to suck.
Great. A pointless sub vs. dub debate. Go watch some anime, guys… or come help me pack.
how much mangas are there to kiminozo?
and whats their name, kiminozo, kimi ga nozomu eien or Rumbling Hearts. ^^
and your right it’s really bad news that mitsuki doesn’t die…:D
